Striking, eco-friendly house on the shores of Loch Broom, perfect for exploring the unique landscape of the Scottish Highlands.
Please note: minimum stay for this property is: 4 nights low season & 7 nights high season
Built and designed by the award-winning firm Eco Living, this unique one-bedroom holiday home located on the banks of Loch Broom is a wonderful base for those who want to explore the Scottish Highlands. It’s set in a truly spectacular location, surrounded by the rugged Highland landscape, the waters of the Loch and the trickling stream that flows past the house.
Waterfell is an eco-friendly house with larch cladding that helps the striking modern building become a natural part of the scenery. Inside, you’ll find an open-plan, contemporary design with large windows to help you enjoy that stunning view. Step down from the entrance hall into the bright and spacious living area. Light the wood burner, put your feet up with a book, relax in front of a film or simply sit back and enjoy the view. There’s also underfloor heating to keep you cosy, whatever the weather outside. There’s a modern kitchen equipped with everything you’ll need to cook up delicious meals with the wonderful produce available locally.
The bedroom has a super-king size bed to sink into after a long day exploring the Highlands. This can be split into two singles if you prefer. Sit up in bed with your morning coffee and enjoy the wonderful views out over the Loch. There’s also a modern ensuite bathroom with a shower over a bath.
Outside, there’s a small courtyard with timber decking and a partially covered area that acts both as a welcoming entrance to the house and a lovely outdoor space to soak up your surroundings. The decking leads down to a pretty shingle garden and seating area. You can go for a paddle in the stream and follow it down to the shore of the Loch and explore the pebble beach.
Waterfell’s location offers a wonderful sense of privacy and tranquillity and you can enjoy your surroundings in complete seclusion. However, being only fifteen minutes from Ullapool, you get the best of both worlds. There’s beautiful scenery, mountain walking and cycling routes, deserted beaches on the one hand and the vibrant village of Ullapool on the other. Here you’ll find some excellent restaurants serving up delicious feasts with top local produce, markets and art galleries. You can also book yourself on a boat trip around the isles from the harbour. Waterfell is also located on one of the best driving roads in the world, the famous North Coast 500 route. This is a 500-mile scenic drive around the north of Scotland, linking many of the highlights of the Highlands in one trip.
2022 bookings are already starting to be popular so you may also want to think about 2023 and have something to look forward to. Full details are on the website www.waterfell.co.uk
