Nestled in the rolling hills of Provence, this sprawling villa sits surrounded by herb gardens, vineyards and its own private pool. Enjoy the drive up to the villa, through the region’s pretty villages, past row upon row of vines and up through the hills. Big open-plan living spaces and a large outdoor dining area overlooking the pool promise lazy afternoons full of food and relaxation. During the day, venture down into Provence to try some wine produced by one of the local vineyards or to explore Seillans, reputed to be the most beautiful village in France, before returning to the villa for a dinner cooked outside on the BBQ.
The villa centres around the open-plan living area which has been furnished in a modern style that complements the original fireplace and exposed wooden beams. Escape the hottest part of the day and relax on the huge sofa or curl up in the snug on the mezzanine level with a book. Move through to the newly renovated kitchen and dining area, well-equipped for catering to large groups. Enjoy dinner indoors or head out through the French doors to the outdoor dining space.
There are five bedrooms in total, with the building laid out so they surround the garden space. This means you’ll be able to wake up in the morning and step out of your French doors straight onto the main terrace and down to the pool for a refreshing swim before breakfast. All of the rooms have either double or king size beds and the bathrooms have been newly renovated with contemporary fittings and even a luxurious freestanding bathtub.
If you can drag yourself away from your sunlounger, the stunning region of Provence is on your doorstep waiting to be explored. As well as vineyards a-plenty and the beautiful fields of lavender that the area is famous for, there’s plenty to do and see. Head down to the picturesque coast for a day at the beach or stroll through charming towns and villages perched on the hilltops. For a change of pace, the city of Nice is just an hour away with stunning architecture, excellent cuisine and plenty of fascinating museums and galleries to visit.
