Minutes from the beach, seconds from the pool… this gorgeous Mykonos villa for 9 makes the perfect base for Greek island exploration
Overlooking the idyllic Elia Beach, Villa Alicia has both the location and the looks you desire. On the southern coast of Mykonos, you can add some unbeatable Aegean views into the mix, as well as a distinctive architectural style typical of the Cycladic Islands.
Accommodating up to 9 guests, Villa Alicia is big enough for the most extended of families. Children can enjoy the outdoor playground while you make the most of the pool and the long, luxurious terrace. Cots can be provided and nanny services arranged too, so you can just lie back and relax.
Views from the villa extend across the Aegean to the neighbouring islands of Paros and Naxos. The island’s main centre, Chora, lies around 5 miles away on the west coast, with a host of beautiful beaches to explore in between.
There are 4 bedrooms at the villa – the master features a king-size bed and en suite, while further double, twin and single rooms have the use of shared bathrooms. Another 2 guests can sleep on pull-out beds in the lounge. This villa has flat-screen TVs and Blu-ray, as well as free Wi-Fi to keep you connected – if you want to be.
The kitchen has been kitted out with everything you’ll need, including a large fridge, microwave, dishwasher and coffee maker, and flows seamlessly into the open-plan living and dining space. The all-white colour scheme adds to a fresh, clean feel, perfectly in keeping with the surroundings.
The outside spaces are just as awe-inspiring, and include shaded pergolas, an outdoor lounge and a barbecue. Those sparkling ocean views certainly deserve your attention, after all.
Villa Alicia is far enough from town to feel secluded, yet close enough to make days and nights out in Chora easy. Much of the island’s legendary party scene centres around Little Venice, which also offers fine views and incredible sunsets.
Architecturally appealing too, the Mykonos landscape is dotted with its famous white windmills, some of which you can visit. Many of the houses lining Chora’s narrow streets share the white-washed look, and share space with plenty of bars, boutiques and bakeries. Churches and museums focussed on archaeology and agriculture give an insight into the island’s past, while the Armenistis Lighthouse offers some of the best views in town.
There’s much to uncover on Mykonos – stay at Villa Alicia and you’ll be off to a great start.
