You should know
- Please note, the upstairs has restricted head height and is accessed via a steep spiral staircase.
- Only three of the bedrooms are located upstairs.
- Dogs are welcome and there is also a stable that can accommodate one well-behaved, medium-sized horse, along with a paddock where they can stretch their legs.
- The stable must be booked in advance, so please get in touch if you'd like to bring your horse along for the ride.

This marvellous lodge is tucked away in the picturesque Shropshire countryside, just a few miles from the historic town of Much Wenlock, and offers groups of up to 16 a peaceful place to relax and socialise together. Whether you’re on a group retreat with friends or spending quality time with family, this charming retreat promises comfort and the chance to truly connect with your nearest and dearest.
When you arrive, you can gather in the open plan kitchen and dining space, which features huge glass doors that open up onto your peaceful deck. These doors also flood the space with natural light and provide amazing views of the surrounding countryside. Perch at the kitchen island with a drink in hand, or get comfy around the giant dining table, that sets the scene for amazing group meals.
When the weather’s warm, you can open the glass doors and relax on the deck where alfresco dining furniture allows you to settle in with a drink in hand as you take in your surroundings. And, for a touch of luxury, why not hop into your wood-fired hot tub for an indulgent soak with a drink in hand? On cooler days, gather in the cosy lounge where a log burner and underfloor heating keep you toasty and warm as you catch up over a drink.
At dinner time, the kitchen is nicely equipped with everything you need to prepare delicious meals for your group. And, outside there’s a BBQ which is perfect for grilling up some delicious local produce on hot days.
When it comes to entertainment, there are a number of games available for you to make use of. Challenge your loved ones to a game of air hockey, pool or table tennis, gather everyone for a group game of darts or tackle the kids at a game of giant Connect Four. The games room is also home to a 42” smart TV, complete with an Xbox One, Blu-ray player and Netflix access. This is a great spot for keeping kids entertained or enjoying some friendly competition.
Viewpoint lodge also has eight thoughtfully arranged bedrooms, ensuring that everyone has a comfortable space to relax. On the ground floor, there are five stylish king size bedrooms, four of which feature ensuite shower rooms for added privacy. The fifth bedroom is conveniently situated next to a large, wheelchair-accessible wet room equipped with a shower chair, making it ideal for guests with limited mobility. Upstairs, the space is fun and versatile, featuring six single beds across open-plan sleeping areas with a curtain divider for added privacy. One pair of single beds can be joined to create a king size bed if needed, and the layout can be tailored to your group’s needs.
When it comes to exploring the local area, there’s lots to see and do nearby. Just a short distance from your retreat, the charming market town of Much Wenlock offers winding streets, historic timber-framed buildings, cosy cafés and the fascinating Wenlock Priory ruins. Outdoor lovers can explore the breathtaking Shropshire Hills, with walks ranging from gentle strolls to challenging hikes across the Long Mynd and Stiperstones.
History buffs will enjoy Attingham Park’s grand estate charm or the medieval grandeur of Shrewsbury and Ludlow Castles. For adventure, The Edge Activity Centre delivers thrills from zip lines to quad biking.
