Tresillian, once the farmhouse to the valley, has been extended and transformed into an exceptionally light, spacious and comfortable property with underfloor heating throughout the ground floor assuring a warm and cosy stay whatever the weather.
Completed to a very high specification, this unusual and quirky character cottage has retained many of its original features including a beamed open-plan living room with wood-burning stove in feature inglenook fireplace, rugs on slate floor, exposed granite walls and superb bay views.
There’s a large dining area with pine refectory table, and a light, spacious kitchen with freestanding units, integrated appliances and further dining area with island unit, perfect for meals together as a group.
Tri-fold, glazed, patio door lead you out onto a sheltered courtyard and barbecue area with superb sea views that’s just perfect on a sunny afternoon.
Also on the ground floor is an attractively furnished bunk bedroom, a stable door to the garden and a cloakroom with a toilet.
Ornamental wooden and iron winding staircase to first floor where you’ll find a large master en suite double bedroom with king-size bed complete with a large freestanding roll-top bath, beams, wonderful sea views leading to en-suite wet room with lavatory and basin.
There is also a further double bedroom with ornate antique iron bed, exposed granite walls and sea views, and a spacious twin bedroom with sea views, plus a family bathroom with corner bath, shower attachment, basin and lavatory.
The first floor has complimentary night storage heating in all rooms with rugs on lime waxed wooden floors and stunning sea views.
As well as being only 200 metres from the beach, the farmhouse is also near a local inn, award winning Beach Restaurant, Round House Gallery and the attractive little fishing harbour of Sennen Cove, only 10 minutes’ walk across the vast expanse of the sandy Blue Flag beach, which is perfect for swimming, water sports and great for kids with the assurance of the RNLI Lifeguards. If you are lucky, you may even spot dolphins, the odd seal or even a basking shark.
Rock climbing is popular on the cliffs and headlands. This is superb walking country and great for cycling or mountain biking. Sennen is also a Mecca for surfing with countless options for all levels of ability. There are great Surf Schools and equipment hire close by in Sennen Cove and on the beach.
