Just 150 metres from the golden sands of Mawgan Porth, this striking contemporary retreat puts the very best of the North Cornish coast within easy reach. Designed for luxurious seaside living, the house sleeps eight and makes a fabulous base for families and groups of friends. Spend sunny days surfing and swimming before returning for hot outdoor showers, drinks on the south-facing balcony and barbecues followed by evenings gathered around the fire pit.
The reverse-level layout makes the most of the setting, with the gorgeous open-plan living space upstairs. Slide open the wide doors and step onto the balcony, where you can soak up views across the valley, catch a glimpse of the sea and watch the sky light up at sunset. There’s an alfresco dining table and a suspended egg chair, while indoors you can sink into the L-shaped sofa, switch on the Smart TV or gather around the oak dining table. Mood lighting and a faux log fire help create a wonderfully cosy atmosphere after dark.
Keen cooks will love the sleek kitchen, which centres around an island and comes equipped with AEG appliances including an induction hob, electric oven, combination oven and microwave and a large fridge freezer. There are four bedrooms in total. Downstairs, the principal bedroom has a king size bed, garden access through huge sliding doors and an ensuite with monsoon shower. A twin bedroom and playful bunk room share the family bathroom. Upstairs, another king size bedroom has its own ensuite as well as a cinema projector with Netflix and AirPlay for supersized movie nights.
There’s even more room to unwind outside. The large front lawn and sunny terrace offer plenty of space to relax, while an elevated rear patio is made for long evenings together, complete with a gas barbecue, dining table, outdoor sofas and fire pit. Surfers will appreciate the hot après-surf shower, bench and wetsuit rail and there’s also an EV charger. Two dogs are welcome too.
