Sitting in the pretty Andalusian town of Higuera de la Sierra, The Yellow House is a neo-classical mansion that hides its grandeur behind a modest façade. Once the home of the town’s mayor, this 1892-built treasure has been lovingly restored by owner Simone, a former restaurateur, wine grower and passionate art collector. Her vision has transformed the house into a place of beauty and character, blending heritage with modern luxury in a way that feels both seamless and soulful. Located in the heart of Huelva’s Sierra de Aracena Natural Park, this is a space where slow living and wild landscapes go hand in hand and it offers groups of up to 12 guests a stunning place for a relaxing retreat in Andalusia.
Step inside and you’re immediately transported into a world of curated design and timeless charm. The entrance hall, with its antique chandelier and elegant piano, sets the tone for what’s to come. Downstairs, guests will find three beautifully designed bedrooms, each with its own stunning ensuite bathroom featuring fittings imported from the UK’s Burlington Bathroom Company.
There’s also a cosy living room, a dining room filled with quirky prints and an original fireplace and a contemporary kitchen with built-in appliances, all wrapped in the warmth of original Andalusian floor tiles. The French windows lead out to a private courtyard, where a glass-sided heated plunge pool and cocktail lounge area await, surrounded by potted palms and artisan-laid stonework – the perfect space for long, lazy afternoons and sunset drinks.
Upstairs are three further bedrooms, each one unique, with chandeliers, views across the town and generous walk-in showers stocked with organic toiletries. A second living room with velvet sofas and local artwork invites you to unwind, read or simply take in the atmosphere of this extraordinary home.
The Yellow House is perfectly placed for exploring the unspoiled charm of this part of Andalucía. With its whitewashed houses, quiet pace and vibrant local culture, Higuera de la Sierra feels delightfully untouched. Just a short stroll away you’ll find tapas bars, cafés, a farmers’ market and the superb Jacaranda restaurant, known for its seasonal Spanish cuisine with a twist. Only an hour from Seville yet a world apart, this is a place where beauty, authenticity and tranquility meet.

Guests are able to book the adjoining Cottage just off the courtyard which has 2 bedrooms and it's own private facilities. This will give occupancy of up to 16 guests. We never let the Cottage on it's own.
