Luxurious and gorgeous, relaxed and welcoming, The Yard is a recently renovated self-catering holiday home and is perfect for big birthday celebrations, special occasions or the best excuse for a long and overdue reunion. It has been stylishly transformed from a disused fold yard, granary and open wagon sheds into a modern and comfortable location for up to 16 people to get together. Alongside all the latest mod cons including huge ensuite rooms and underfloor heating, it has still managed to maintain the farm buildings' traditional charm and features, such as wooden beams and vaulted ceilings.
Group holidays are all about chats, laughter and quality food and here you’ll discover a truly sociable space with the large living room and dining room sharing a double–sided wood burner, alongside a generous open kitchen. The open plan room benefits from high vaulted ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows that open out to the garden, allowing the natural light to flood in and create an airy and spacious area that is made for entertaining and spending time together.
The glossy, modern kitchen is fully equipped with everything you’ll need to create delicious feasts as well as unforgettable memories, with an island unit where you can congregate to watch the chef in action and maybe offer a helping hand.
Six large and stylishly decorated ensuite bedrooms are divided between super-king sized, doubles and twins, with all beds at a minimum of five feet in width, so whatever the makeup of your party, there will be a sleeping arrangement to suit you. A biomass burner heats The Yard, so you can be sure that the house is always warm with plenty of hot water for everybody’s morning showers.
Tailored for adults, The Yard boasts a large indoor luxurious swim spa seating 12 people that opens out via bifold doors onto a beautifully landscaped walled garden and patio. This is adjoined by a games room with a pool table, TV and sound system which also opens out onto the walled garden and patio area with comfy outdoor furniture and a gas BBQ where you can take your meals outdoors on warmer evenings. Whether luxuriating in the spa with a chilled drink, enjoying a friendly game of pool or indulging in some alfresco cooking, relaxation is guaranteed.
Locally, you’ll find Sherburn village which lies between the market town of Malton and the seaside resort of Scarborough in the Vale of Pickering. There is a village pub, fish and chip shop and village store with a farm bakery, teashop and a farm shop all close by. From its Jurassic rugged coastline, beautiful rolling countryside and open moorland to its fascinating cultural heritage and the very best of British cuisine, The Yorkshire Coast and Ryedale has so much to offer that you’ll never be short of things to do.
