This collection of treehouses all sit high in the woods at Otter Falls, a wonderful Devon estate that's home to a collection of beautiful accommodation options. The treehouses are all tucked away amidst the leaves, offering plenty of privacy, and either sleep two or four guests, depending on which treehouse you book.
Inside, each treehouse has a fabulous hexagonal open-plan living room featuring high vaulted ceilings and a super-comfy king size bed at its centre. If you opt for the two-bedroom treehouse, then there’s also an additional bedroom off the main living space with a set of bunk beds that are ideal for smaller children, making the treehouse perfect for a small family getaway. All treehouses also have their own luxury bathrooms that feature a spacious walk-in shower for morning soaks.
The main living space of each treehouse also has a small seating area and a TV for movie nights. Just off the living area is a quaint kitchenette that features a fridge with an ice box, a two ring hob and a combi microwave oven and grill. And when food’s served, you can dine inside at the breakfast bar, or take your meals out onto your private deck where alfresco dining furniture sets the scene for a fab summer dinner in peace. The deck is also a lovely spot to relax on warm days as you enjoy a morning coffee or tuck into a good book. And, if you opt for the one-bedroom treehouse, you also have your own private hot tub, which sits at ground level.
Whichever treehouse you choose, you’ll be able to make use of an array of facilities at Otter Falls. This includes use of an indoor swimming pool and tennis courts as well as a play area for the kids. There’s also foot golf and boules on-site as well as a games room with a pool table. You can also visit the on-site bistro, The Tickled Trout, which is family-run, and offers a great selection of food and drinks in a welcoming and relaxed atmosphere.
You are even able to enjoy peaceful coarse fishing on the private, scenic lakes at Otter Falls - an idyllic spot for anglers of all abilities. Whether you're a seasoned pro, a casual enthusiast or just picking up a rod for the first time, the three well-stocked lakes offer something for everyone.
Guests are also able to hire bikes at Otter Falls to explore the grounds or wander the criss-crossing footpaths that take you across the estate and into the sprawling Devon hills beyond. If you choose to venture out and explore, then you’ll find that East Devon is a breathtaking blend of rolling countryside, charming villages and dramatic coastline. Explore the Jurassic Coast, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, with its fossil-filled cliffs and scenic coastal walks. Visit traditional market towns like Honiton and Ottery St Mary, or unwind on the beaches of Sidmouth and Budleigh Salterton.
