- Dogs are not permitted in The Shippon.

The Handsome Brewery is open at weekends less than 10 minutes down the road, and the Eagle and Child pub in Staveley is an hour's walk along the river Kent (and a bit more back over the hill or a 10 minute taxi ride!).
