The details

Step inside something truly extraordinary. This one-of-a-kind roundhouse is a celebration of nature, craftsmanship and thoughtful design, where every detail has been created to connect you with the landscape around you. Built using biophilic principles and entirely natural materials, this remarkable circular home feels both ancient and contemporary all at once, offering a calming, restorative space unlike anywhere else.

At its heart lies a vast open-plan living area, where a striking Douglas Fir frame rises beneath a spiralling reciprocal roof, drawing your gaze up to the glazed skylight lantern above. Light pours in throughout the day, while at night you can lie back and watch the stars from the comfort of your bed. The space flows effortlessly, with distinct zones for sleeping, relaxing, dining and cooking, all wrapped in thick straw and clay walls that soften sound, regulate temperature and create a peaceful atmosphere.

Sleeping arrangements are flexible and thoughtfully designed. A luxurious king size bed sits tucked behind privacy curtains, while a mezzanine double bed is nestled among the timber posts above. There’s also space for an additional single bed if needed, making the roundhouse ideal for couples, families or small groups. Beneath the mezzanine, a cosy snug with a deep sofa invites you to curl up with a book or a glass of something special.

The handmade kitchen, crafted from local Ash and Oak, is fully equipped for preparing meals, while heavy curtains, bamboo blinds and wooden shutters allow you to shift the mood from open and airy to intimate and cocooned. Evenings can be spent beside the wood burner or enjoying your own private cinema experience on the impressive projector screen.

Outside, the magic continues. Set beside an ancient Oak tree in a peaceful meadow garden, you’ll find a fire pit, seating circle and alfresco dining area, all surrounded by gently rewilding land. Beyond your doorstep, 130 acres of countryside and canal-side walks await, offering endless opportunities to explore or simply slow down and breathe it all in.
