Perched high above Folkestone in the beautiful Kent Downs, The Old Toolshed is a characterful countryside retreat for two, complete with its own private hot tub and far-reaching rural views. Once a working toolshed on the surrounding farm, it has been lovingly transformed into a colourful, comfortable hideaway where you can wake to rolling green countryside, spend afternoons exploring the coast and sink into warm bubbles beneath the stars when evening rolls around.
Inside, restored pieces, handcrafted details and vibrant fabrics give the lodge plenty of personality. The spacious living area has a comfy sofa and armchair for lazy evenings in front of the Smart TV, while the farmhouse dining table is just the spot for long breakfasts and relaxed dinners for two. The well-equipped kitchen has an electric oven and hob, dishwasher, fridge/freezer and Nespresso Krups coffee machine, so you can settle in and make yourselves completely at home.
When it’s time to turn in, the bedroom has a sumptuous king size bed, alongside a hidden built-in wardrobe and chest of drawers. There’s also a stylish shower room with a handcrafted stone wash basin, while towels and linen are provided. WiFi and electric heating add the practical comforts you need for an easy stay at any time of year.
Outside, the enclosed patio garden looks out across the surrounding countryside and offers a peaceful spot for morning coffee or an evening drink.
