Tucked away amidst the stunning countryside of Mid Wales, this beautifully converted grain store offers a peaceful retreat for couples or families looking to escape the hustle and bustle. You’ll find this old farm building looking right at home in a quiet valley, surrounded by fields and woodland. Step inside and you’ll find a luxurious and inviting space, completely transformed from its old life as a grain store but retaining plenty of its original character. Wake up in your luxurious king size bed and enjoy the views of the rolling hills. Unwind with a soak in the hot tub before rustling up a BBQ on the deck with the brook flowing below. Stay out late into the evening, toasting marshmallows and doing a bit of stargazing in the spectacular dark skies.

The inside of The Old Grain Store has been carefully thought out to make the most of the unusual circular shape of the building. The open plan kitchen has been fitted to match the curve of the walls and is fully-equipped with everything you’ll need to cook delicious meals or prepare some treats for the BBQ outside. After dinner, snuggle up in the living area with a fire crackling away in the wood-burner and get stuck into a board game or two.

When it’s time for bed, head up the spiral staircase to the mezzanine where you’ll find a king size bed beneath the lovely exposed roof of the grain store. Wood panelling and warm lighting create a cosy atmosphere and there’s a sofa where you can curl up with a book or just watch the brook flow past the windows. If you need a bit of extra sleeping space, this sofa converts into a bed and there’s another sofa bed downstairs. There’s also a contemporary bathroom that features a large waterfall shower and you’ll be provided with fluffy towels and toiletries.

Outside, there’s a private hot tub that is under cover so you can make the most of it come rain or shine. It’s perfectly positioned to enjoy the view over the field and the valley beyond. There's also a deck that has been built over the brook so you can sit out and enjoy your meals alfresco with the sound of water flowing past. There’s a firepit to keep you warm late into the evenings and the field is a lovely space for the kids to play in.

If you fancy doing a bit of exploring, there’s plenty to see and do in the area. Bring your walking boots and set off along the historic Offa’s Dyke Path for stunning views of the surrounding countryside. Go for a scenic drive to Radnor Forest, a haven for hikers, cyclists and nature lovers. The charming Victorian spa town of Llandrindod Wells is just half an hour away and the famous Hay-on-Wye can be reached in an hour where you can spend a leisurely day getting lost in the many beautiful bookshops.
