This former fire station sits on the high street of the historic market town Ludlow and overlooks beautiful period buildings. With four bedrooms and two reception rooms, it makes the perfect base for families and groups of friends looking to spend time together and explore the lovely local area. The property has been beautifully renovated and furnished, mostly from sourced from local artisans and suppliers, but much of the character has been retained. Original features appear throughout, from the large fire bell which hangs on by the front door to the timber beams and exposed brick inglenook fireplace.
A modern kitchen is the perfect place to start the stay. Pop the kettle on for a round of tea for weary travellers in this modern and well-equipped space. Beautiful marble tiles compliment a hardwood counter top with plenty of lighting to illuminate the cook as they chop, slice and crush. The kitchen space leads to the open plan living and dining area. Enjoy pre-dinner drinks on the luxurious velvet corner sofa in front of the gas stove which is set into the exposed brick fireplace. There is plenty of space for all the guests so it's a great area to relax, catch-up and plot the day's activities. A large wooden dining table, with plenty of seating and space for all, overlooks the high street and pendant chandelier-style lights create a warm atmosphere perfect for lengthy suppers and late nights.
There is a further reception room with a television and comfy leather chairs and a big sofa. This is a great spot to enjoy a bit of quiet time or catch up on new releases and family favourites. Musical guests will love sitting at the piano and entertaining friends and family with a singsong.
At bedtime, there are four exquisite bedrooms to pick from. They all have high quality mattresses and Egyptian cotton linen. Equally stylish, two have king-sized beds while others can be transformed into twins, depending on guests' requirements. The house has three bathrooms, including two en-suites, with luxurious toiletries, dense towels and stylish fittings.
Pretty Ludlow is surrounded by countryside, which is visible from the high street, and a must visit is the famous castle which is just short walk from the house. Head to the Harp Lane Deli for baskets of picnic goodies and make the 20 minute trip to the lovely Carding Mill Valley and Long Mynd for hikes, bikes and picnics on the river bank.

£250/£350* (Friday-sunday) per night

Additional guests £25pp per night, for up to 8 guests.
A non-refundable 25% deposit of the holiday cost is payable at the time of booking. Bookings made less than six weeks before your arrival date must be paid in full, plus the £250 refundable damage deposit.
The balance must be paid no later than six weeks before the commencement of your holiday. If the balance is not received by the due date, then your holiday will be treated as a cancellation and the client will remain liable to pay the balance of the rent.
All cancellations must be notified in writing. If you cancel your holiday more than 6 weeks before it is due to start, then your deposit will be forfeit
. If you cancel less than 6 weeks before the holiday, then the full balance remains due and is not refundable.
We strongly advise that you take out comprehensive travel insurance to cover cancellations. If you choose not to, then you accept responsibility for any loss that you may incur due to your cancellation.
Your booking will not be cancelled by the owner except in exceptional circumstances beyond our control. Notification will be given of the cancellation as soon as possible and we will promptly refund all payments made for your holiday. Our liability for cancellation will be limited to payments made to us.
No parties or events – the maximum number of persons using the accommodation at any time must not exceed (8 persons)and only those listed on the booking form can occupy the property. We reserve the right to terminate the booking without notice and without refund in case of a breach of this condition.
(Note: If you allow guests to have visitors during their stay, clarify the maximum number of occupants, that they must be approved in advance, and are subject to an additional charge of £25 per person per night if staying overnight).
Bookings cannot be accepted from persons under eighteen years of age.
The owner reserves the right to refuse a booking without giving any reason.
