The Lantern’s lovely open plan living space is flooded with natural light thanks to the double glass doors that also offer incredible views out to sea. On warm days leave these open and let the outside in as you relax on the sofa enjoying a movie on the wall-mounted TV and on cooler days keep them closed and light the wood-burning stove for extra cosiness.
Just off the lounge area is a quaint but modern kitchen, which is as stylish as it is practical. You will have all of the amenities you need to prepare hearty meals during your stay, which you can enjoy at the breakfast bar.
When night falls The Lantern has a fab master bedroom with a king size bed and blackout blinds for a peaceful night’s sleep. The sofa in the lounge space can also fold out into a bed for two children, which is ideal for families. You also have a modern shower room, with a spacious walk-in shower.

Well where to start with this little gem of a place, Clean, Cosy,The little touches, supplying bread, milk ,butter. The bed was the comfiest we have slept on, my son loved the sofa bed. Literally 5 min up the road was a wild sea swimming and fishing spot. Amazing views of the island opposite. Such a great location, really close to the town. This has to be our best visit to Scotland to date not just the location, but the little house as well. I always like to leave an honest review the reflects my expeirance and my stay and I can't find a single fault with The Lantern it truly was amazing for our little break. Kerry and family should be super proud of this place.
