The details

This gorgeous shepherd’s hut offers couples a romantic getaway in the heart of the Dorset countryside. Get back to nature as you settle in with a good book beneath the old oak tree gazing out at the cows as they go about their day. And when night falls you can light the firepit for some stargazing or hop into your own private wood-fired hot tub for an indulgent soak and a glass of bubbles.

Whilst you may wish to spend your days sitting in peace and tranquillity enjoying the incredible views of the surrounding countryside, the hut also offers some additional entertainment options. These include a radio, a selection of cards and board games, binoculars for wildlife spotting and a small collection of books.

When dinner time approaches, the quaint kitchenette is perfect for whipping up hearty feasts, equipped with a gas hob and a hot plate on the wood burner. If you step outside, you can also cook on the fire pit and fire bowl which have a grill and outdoor cooking pots and the outdoor wood-fired oven adds to the rustic charm!

You’re also provided with a cool box with ice packs to keep your essentials fresh and extra bags of logs are available for purchase to keep the fire burning. You'll find all the necessary pots, pans, plates and cutlery provided, making meal prep a breeze. The covered alfresco dining area also makes dinner times a delight, as you tuck into your food whilst taking in your delightful surroundings.

Back inside the hut, the ensuite bathroom at the hut offers a fab gas-powered shower, a convenient flushing toilet and a charming Belfast sink with running hot and cold water, all elegantly integrated into the kitchen dresser. Adding a touch of local charm, you'll also find handcrafted hand wash made by local artisans.

When bedtime beckons, you and your loved one will be able to enjoy a fantastic night’s sleep in the super-comfy king size bed. There’s also plenty of storage beneath the bed for your things.

Awake feeling refreshed and enjoy that all-important first coffee of the day as you plot the day’s adventures.

There is a lot to see and do in the local area, and nature lovers will adore exploring this marvellous part of Dorset. You’re located close to the edge of the Cranborne Chase National Landscape, a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty that spans 380 square miles of breathtaking countryside, crossing the borders of Wiltshire, Dorset, Hampshire and Somerset. Explore miles of winding walks that take you through some stunning countryside, before popping to a delightful local pub for a drink and bite to eat.
