Found on an idyllic farm in the pretty county of Herefordshire, The Grey Goose offers its guests a luxury escape to the countryside. This Scandinavian-style shepherd's hut has everything needed for a comfortable, cosy and special stay, including a kitchen, ensuite bathroom and a private hot tub, making it the perfect bolthole for a romantic couples' retreat. And thanks to its location close to the border of England and Wales, there is plenty to discover in the local area for those wishing to immerse themselves in rural life.
Surrounded by seemingly endless green fields and picturesque views of Hay Bluff, life on the farm is peaceful, with nothing but fresh air and the occasional encounter with a charming farm animal to greet you. Inside the hut, the wooden interiors and sumptuous furnishings are extremely inviting after a day of walking, and the comfy bed and ensuite bathroom are more than welcomed, too.
Of course, the wood-fired hot tub is a huge draw for many, ensuring visitors can sink into the warmth under the stars, no matter what time of year it is. There are also facilities to cook up an al fresco meal by way of the barbecue - just perfect during the balmy summer months. Guests can also prepare meals inside using the nicely equipped kitchenette, which they can then enjoy on the cute indoor dining table for two that sits near the log burning fireplace. Light the fire and enjoy a romantic meal whilst staying toasty and warm whatever the weather.
Locally, there is much to see and do for varying tastes. Thrill-seekers will be delighted to hire a kayak and adventure down the River Wye, or take a pony trek in the hills. The hosts offer free use of their bikes, so those who prefer to explore on two wheels will be more than happy. The beautiful Brecon Beacons is not too far away, complete with its numerous waterfalls, epic walking trails and scenic natural vistas. Closer to home, there are a number of fantastic country pubs and high end eateries which will dazzle the foodies,
