Tucked away in a peaceful slice of rural Lancashire, this cosy A-frame cabin offers a charming retreat on the edge of the picturesque Morecambe Bay coastline. With its open-plan living space and stove for snug evenings, the cabin combines rustic charm with homely comfort. Sleeping up to four guests across a double bed and two singles, it’s an inviting base for families, couples or small groups looking to reconnect with nature.
When you enter, you’ll love the wooden interior, with its high ceiling creating plenty of space. Carefully placed plants offer a natural touch, and a pair of armchairs and foot stools ensure that you can sit back and enjoy a cuppa as you tuck into a good book in front of the fire.
When it comes to your kitchen, shower and bathroom facilities, these are all located just a short stroll from the cabin - no more than a 20-second walk away. Fully equipped and modern, the kitchen makes cooking and dining a breeze and on warm, sunny days be sure to enjoy alfresco meals outdoors soaking in your surroundings. The outdoor space is complete with a private firepit and BBQ, so you can grill up some delicious local produce and toast marshmallows under the stars.
For those seeking an extra indulgence, you can reserve a wood-fired hot tub in advance for a day of total relaxation. Available at an additional cost, the tub is prepared with water and firewood, ready for guests to heat and enjoy at their leisure.
After an evening under the stars at the firepit, head inside where you’ll find two lovely single beds sitting on the ground floor and a fab double up on the mezzanine level, accessed via a ladder. Wake feeling refreshed and head out to make the most of some of the amazing shared facilities available on-site.
The games room keeps both children and adults entertained with pool, air hockey and table tennis, while a covered outdoor dining space makes group meals a delight. For something more intimate, a private indoor function room can be arranged with the option of a private chef. Nature lovers will enjoy the four-kilometre trail that meanders through woodland, ponds and fields and is teeming with wildlife. Anglers can cast a line in two well-stocked lakes, home to carp of up to 34lb. There’s also a small gym for fitness enthusiasts, and adrenaline seekers can tick skydiving off their list at the neighbouring Black Knights Parachute Centre.
If you wish to venture further afield and explore the surrounding countryside, then there’s plenty to see and do. Discover the charms of Lancashire’s east coast, where rolling countryside meets sweeping shorelines. Explore characterful villages, local markets and traditional pubs, or head to Morecambe Bay for birdwatching and breathtaking sunsets.
The Forest of Bowland, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, offers hiking, cycling and wildlife spotting in abundance. With free parking onsite, a car is recommended to explore the wider area, from the historic city of Lancaster to the lively towns of Preston and Blackpool.
