In spectacular Aberdeenshire, The Gatsby is the perfect choice for that big and special gathering. This magnificent house in Torphins, around 23 miles from Aberdeen, can accommodate up to 24 guests in its 11 bedrooms, and plenty of premium features to make sure every single one of them loves the place.
Let’s start outside - in the garden you have a decadent hot tub, and a deck with table and chairs and a barbecue. There’s room for seven in that hot tub, by the way. Inside, there's plenty to do. Be sure to gather in the drawing room where there's a baby grand piano, which is perfect for entertaining yourself or others, if you choose not to venture to the local pub just moments away.
You can go straight from the deck to the kitchen, with its own bar, two wine fridges, and two of lots of other things, including ovens, dishwashers and fridge freezers. The dining room is an elegant and relaxing place to enjoy your meals, while the living room offers a large TV with DVD and Sky Q. The drawing room is perfect for evenings catching up with friends over drinks beside the open fire.
Numerous bedrooms are spread across the first and second floors, all of which are filled with super-comfy beds and beautiful furnishings, designed to ensure guests get a fabulous night’s sleep. There are eight king size double bedrooms in total, as well as one twin, and two triple bedrooms. Seven of the bedrooms have their own en-suite for added privacy and comfort. Cots and high-chairs are also available should any particularly young guests be with you.
The local area has something for everyone, from golf courses to galleries, and the splendour of the Cairngorms National Park makes outdoor pursuits all the more pleasurable. Fishing, canoeing, horse riding, cycling, whatever your sport, you can count on a breathtaking backdrop.
There are also some impressive places to eat nearby. The aforementioned local, The Learney Arms, is one, with tempting bistro dining it will be hard to resist - particularly when it’s just next door. If you prefer the food to come to you, that’s no problem. A skilled local chef is on hand for catering, and well worth booking in advance if you’ve got a big occasion to celebrate, something The Gatsby is simply great for.
