The Fox's Den

This luxurious shepherd’s hut sits in the stunning countryside in Ponteland near Newcastle and offers couples an idyllic spot to unwind in peace. The Fox’s Den is warm and cosy on the inside, and outside it has a superb alfresco space, with a covered seating area and a deluxe hot tub for indulgent soaks.

The raised deck outside the hut is the perfect place to enjoy a morning cuppa or afternoon drink whilst gazing out over the beautiful surroundings. There’s also a BBQ here, so you can whip up some delicious local produce as your loved one unwinds in the hot tub. Then, when night falls, light the Solo Stove firepit and stay toasty and warm as you watch the stars come out above.

Stepping inside, the shepherd’s hut is quaint and cosy, with a charming atmosphere that’s enhanced by the wood-burning fireplace. The kitchenette features a fridge/freezer, a microwave/oven and a ceramic induction hob, ensuring you have plenty of appliances at your disposal to cook delicious meals during your stay. There’s even a coffee machine on-hand for that all-important forest brew of the day. On warm days you’ll want to dine outside on the deck, but there’s also a lovely breakfast bar that offers space to dine inside, and it sits in front of picture windows, so you can enjoy a meal with a view.

When night falls, there’s a fabulous king size bed in the hut, which has a fluffy duvet and soft, deep pillows with black out blinds to ensure a good night’s sleep. There’s also a well-appointed bathroom with a full-size shower, along with a sink, a WC and a vanity cupboard. As the evenings draw in, the shepherd hut comes into its own thanks to a newly added outdoor projector. Sink into the hot tub with a drink in hand or wrap up in a cosy blanket, fire up your favourite film, and let the big screen glow bring an extra sense of occasion to your night under the stars.
