This beautifully restored 19th century farmhouse offers a wonderfully secluded escape among the rolling hills of Portugal’s Eastern Algarve. With a large private swimming pool, expansive gardens and far-reaching countryside views, it’s the sort of place where days can drift happily by outdoors, whether you’re cooling off in the water, reading beneath the shade or gathering for long lunches in the sunshine.
Recently refurbished, The Farmhouse retains plenty of traditional Portuguese character while providing all the comforts you’ll want for a relaxing stay. Step inside and you’ll discover thick walls that help keep things cool in summer, pretty Portuguese pottery and prints and an original tiled floor. The spacious living room is particularly inviting, with comfortable seating and a striking bamboo raked ceiling, providing a peaceful place to retreat with a book when you fancy some time out of the sun.
The traditional dining room leads through to a well-equipped kitchen, where you’ll have everything you need to prepare leisurely breakfasts and delicious evening feasts. There’s also a lovely veranda just off the kitchen, so you can carry your coffee outside in the morning and ease gently into another sunny Algarve day.
The farmhouse sleeps up to six guests across three spacious bedrooms. The first bedroom has its own ensuite bathroom, while the remaining two bedrooms share a family bathroom. Luxurious linens and elegant furnishings add a little extra comfort while keeping the relaxed, unpretentious feel of the house intact.
