Set in the picturesque countryside of Cumbria, this charming one-bedroom holiday cottage offers a tranquil escape for those seeking a peaceful retreat. Located near both the Lake District and the Yorkshire Dales, you can spend your days exploring some of the most breathtaking natural landscapes in the UK. In the evenings, recover from a long walk with a dip in the hot tub before putting your feet up in front of the wood burner.
Head up to the open-plan living space on the first floor with its contemporary furnishings and sloping ceilings creating a welcoming atmosphere. You’ll find everything you'll need to whip up delicious dinners or perhaps prepare a picnic for your day’s adventures in the fully-equipped kitchen. There’s also a breakfast bar which is the perfect spot to enjoy your morning coffee or a glass of wine in the evening as something bubbles away on the stove. After dinner, snuggle up on the comfy sofa with a fire crackling away in the wood burner and enjoy a film or a board game together. The hot tub is just outside through the patio doors, offering the perfect place to do a bit of stargazing on clear nights.
The spacious bedroom is located on the ground floor and has been decorated to create a relaxing ambiance with a king-size bed and plenty of storage in the walk-in wardrobe. You’ll find fluffy bathrobes waiting for you in the stylish bathroom, which features two sinks and a large walk-in shower. Underfloor heating will keep you cosy whatever the weather outside.
When you're not relaxing at the cottage, you'll find plenty of opportunities for outdoor adventures right on your doorstep. Start with a stroll through nearby Kirkby Lonsdale’s cobbled streets, browse its independent shops and stop off for a bite to eat in one of its cosy cafes. Just a short drive into the Yorkshire Dales, the Ingleton Waterfalls Trail is a scenic four and a half mile circular walk past impressive waterfalls and through beautiful woodlands. Head in the other direction to the Lake District National Park, and go for a leisurely boat trip on Lake Windermere or tackle some of the dramatic mountain peaks like Helvellyn and Scafell Pike.
