The Deer Hide sits on the outskirts of Southampton and is easily accessible from London, Portsmouth, the Midlands and the West Country.
As you arrive at The Deer Hide, your shepherd’s hut contrasts against the green surroundings. Walk through your private outdoor space and note the gas BBQ, fire pit and outdoor seating for those warm evenings dining alfresco. Nestled among tranquil countryside, it’s the ideal spot to grab a blanket and sit back as the starry skies emerge.
Moving into the hut, you’re greeted by natural tones and calming hues that are perfect for a relaxing couple’s escape. At one end, your snug and comfy double bed is adorned with plush pillows and thick bedding to drift off under. When the morning comes around, the windows fill the cosy space with natural light while the birds in the trees sing the morning chorus. Beautiful shepherds hut in the most tranquil of settings, we loved it. Well equipped and nicely furnished. Matt and Janet were superb hosts. This area is central to the most stunning walking/hiking routes and we managed several during our stay. We recommend the Bakers Arms in Droxford for eating out nearby. We would most definitely recommend the Deer Hide for a stay in Hampshire.

Absolutely glorious!!! Matt and Janet were such lovely hosts and this place really does have everything you need. Idyllic location, peaceful and just the escape we wanted. Saw deer, butterflies, dragon flies and even an owl. Would definitely recommend and will absolutely be back to visit.
