A stunning detached stone cottage set within the grounds of the Dillington House Estate in Somerset...
A delightful retreat, the Dairy House is a wonderful Grade II listed stone cottage with adjoining annex, set within the Dillington estate in the Somerset countryside. The cattle grid is the only obstacle to cross to ensure you enjoy the freedom of this grand, rural setting.
Creeping vines encase the front aspect, whilst to the rear of the property, a beautiful mature garden, with lawns, fruit trees and a pond lends itself to exploring. Outdoors, in a hidden spot, you'll find the large, wood-fired hot tub. There's also a charming seating area, perfect for enjoying the surroundings with family or friends during the warmer weather; al fresco dining and a glass of local cider to unwind after a day's walking and exploring the local area - make sure you bring your wellies or walking shoes.
A luxury Somerset holiday home offer contemporary, high end style with a design twist. Downstairs has a well thought out open plan kitchen and dining area for any socialising occasion. A conservatory overlooking the garden leads from the dining area. The wood floors are warm underfoot, whilst the log burner in the lounge will take the chill off any a cool evening. A separate TV room means the 'big' kids cam enjoy some alone time if they'd like to.
A separate laundry room housing all the home from home facilities and appliances can be found away from the peace and quiet this tranquil cottage offers.
There are seven bedrooms, three are en-suites, three are also super-king doubles, or twins if you prefer them made up that way, and one is a double / triple bunk room. The bunk room and two of the doubles are in a separate building, the “cowshed”, a few metres from the main building.
A truly wonderful Somerset holiday rental to enjoy with friends or family all year round.
Dillington House is only a 5 minute walk away and was once the home of former Prime Minister, Lord North. For local pubs try the Barrington Boar pub in Barrington, a great rustic country pub or a smarter gastro pub in Hinton called the Lord Poulett Arms.
