This utterly charming former dairy sits on a peaceful Fife farm and offers couples a truly romantic retreat in a tranquil and scenic setting. The interior perfectly blends rustic, rural charm and modern opulence, and has been wonderfully furnished to create a comfy and cosy space.
Inside, the retreat is fully open-plan, with a warming wood-burner at its heart. Throw some logs on the fire and stay toasty and warm as you get comfy on the big sofa. This is the perfect spot to enjoy a morning coffee gazing out the big sliding glass doors at the view, or an ideal place to settle in with a glass of wine come the evening.
On warm days, slide the doors open and let the outside in. Then, step out onto your peaceful garden, where you’ll find a quaint dining table for two on the patio. Also outside is the star of the show - a fab outdoor bathtub for two. Grab a glass of wine and fill the tub with steaming hot water before getting in for a relaxing evening drink as the sun sets and the stars come out above.
Back inside, you’ll find the quaint kitchenette at one end of The Dairy, which has all the appliances you’ll need to prepare hearty meals for your stay. You’ll also be provided with complimentary tea, local artisan coffee, hot chocolate, marshmallows, bread, milk and eggs on arrival.
When night falls, head to the super-comfy super-king size bed, which is tucked away at the other end of the Dairy. The Dairy also has a fab ensuite bathroom, stylishly designed with a large walk-in shower.
If you're looking to explore the local area, there's a wealth of activities and attractions nearby. You can embark on scenic walks along the Fife Coastal Path, hike to the historic Falkland village or the Lomond Hills or enjoy cycling through Blairadam Forest or around Kinghorn Loch.
Golf enthusiasts can tee off at renowned courses such as St Andrews, Gleneagles and Dunbarnie Links. Whisky aficionados might appreciate tours at Kingsbarns Distillery, Lindores Abbey Distillery or Edinburgh’s Scotch Whisky Experience. For dining, consider visiting One One Four Bistro or The Fix pub in Burntisland or picking up pastries at Sunrise Bakery. Each offers a unique taste of local hospitality.
