This impressive coastal holiday retreat with incredible sea views across Start Bay would be perfect for a couple or a family with young children looking for a peaceful haven nestled in a hidden cove. The home has a luxury chalet vibe – plenty of wood, lots of large glass windows to take in the sea views and a wrap-around sundeck with an outdoor shower.

The main living area is large and open plan consisting of the kitchen, dining and living room which has been designed to make the most of the glorious sea views. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you could need to whip up a delicious meal and also includes a Vertuo coffee maker for that all important eye opener. The dining area has a four-seater glass-topped table where you can enjoy a lazy supper or there's a separate breakfast bar with stools for a more casual meal.

The living area has a huge corner sofa and the wood slatted walls and log burner give the space a really cosy feel. The owners have provided a 65 inch smart TV and Bose sound bar for movie nights with popcorn. The design of this lovely space, with its abundance of wood set against granite, glass and dark blue, reflect the colours of nature outside and pretty art on the walls provide lovely little pops of bright colour.

Off the open plan living area you'll find a hallway leading to a downstairs toilet and utility room which includes a washing machine and tumble dryer so there's no need to pack the kitchen sink!

There's one ground floor bedroom with bespoke chunky wooden bunk beds that is ideal for a two kids. This space also includes a desk area with a view of the woods which would be perfect for any work that couldn't be left behind.

Back in the main living area is an impressive modern staircase made of wood and glass which leads up to a luxurious and spacious master bedroom with breath-taking views. As well as the huge comfy bed, there's a separate dressing area with a vanity table and a raised seating area where you can sit and stare at the view or luxuriate in the free standing bath which overlooks a private balcony and the ocean beyond. The master bedroom also boasts an elegant ensuite with large twin walk-in showers. So no need to queue!

On a sunny day the main living area can be transformed by opening the large bifold doors onto the fabulous sundeck, bringing the outside in. Outside you'll find dining furniture, a large Kamado BBQ and a wood fired hot tub. Enjoy a long soak with a glass of something delicious before indulging in the outdoor rain shower and sauna. Which order you do so in is entirely up to you.

Cove is secluded and feels very special. If you want to get away from the hustle bustle of people and life, this is the place. But if you do want to explore, the home is only 80 metres from the coast, just two miles from Dartmouth and within reach of the South West Coastal path and Blackpool Sands.

Stoke Fleming is a small village located in the picturesque South Hams area of South Devon. Dartmouth is great for a day out with its world class restaurants, harbour and shopping. And it's here you'll find one of Devon's most beautiful beaches. Nearby Totnes has a weekly market and lots of quirky independent shops. There's a vibrant arts scene and some gorgeous forests to explore.

If you want to stay very local you can't do better than the local pub, The Green Dragon, where you can stop for a drink in cosy friendly surroundings. For something to eat nearby you might like to try Radius 7, a modern bistro style dining experience with plenty of fresh local seafood on offer.
