Nestled in the rolling Warwickshire countryside, The Chicken Shed is a bespoke wooden lodge, perfect for a family escape to the Cotswolds. Hidden away in serene woodland and with views across an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, this is a truly tranquil location. Relax in the hot tub or lie back on the super king-size bed under the stars in the transparent geodesic dome. Spend your days exploring the private country estate and surrounding villages of Stratford upon Avon or Stow on the Wold, before returning to your lodge to cook an alfresco meal in the charcoal pizza oven and taking in the sweeping views.
The spacious interior has been furnished in a contemporary style and neutral tones throughout create a relaxing atmosphere. The large living space has comfy sofas, a 43” smart TVand a selection of games, perfect for cosy evenings in. There’s plenty of room for everyone around the extendable dining room table and while you’re in this living area you can expect visits from ponies Queenie and Stan. They like to come up to the French doors to see if you might have a snack on offer.
You’ll find the kitchen, which is well equipped with everything from a dishwasher to a washing machine, directly off the lounge. A welcome basket will be waiting to start you off with fresh milk, fruit and some delicious cake. Head down the hall to find the two bedrooms, a double and a triple room which has a single and a double bed. Both rooms have lots of wardrobe space and fresh crisp bedding. The modern bathroom has a bath and a luxurious power shower. Underfloor heating throughout the lodge will keep you cosy whatever the weather.
The fantastic outdoor space is where the lodge really comes into its own. The wraparound decking area is the perfect place for everyone to come together and enjoy a meal outdoors. There’s a barbecue and a charcoal pizza oven along with table and chairs and two hanging rattan seats. The four-seater hot tub can play your favourite tunes via Bluetooth while you relax. The private geodesic dome is set on a tower three metres above the ground. Inside, you’ll find a telescope, binoculars and a circular super king-sized bed so you can stargaze in complete comfort.
The Cotswolds is renowned for its beautiful rolling countryside and picturesque villages. Stratford upon Avon, the birthplace of Shakespeare, is only 20 minutes away. Explore the world’s biggest collection of historic British cars at the British Motor Museum or admire the grandeur of Blenheim Palace and Warwick Castle. There are also some of the best walking routes in the country right on the doorstep, like the stunning Edge Hill Walk. The Chicken Shed is the perfect retreat after a busy day exploring the best of the Cotswolds.
