This idyllic holiday home, nestled in a perfect location in the Wye Valley, offers groups of up to 10 guests a fabulous rural retreat. Surrounded by winding footpaths, marvellous cycling trails, and a beautiful river where you can enjoy some wild swimming, canoeing or fishing, The Chalet is the perfect spot for lovers of the great outdoors.
Step inside, however, and you're presented with a cosy, comfortable home with everything you need for an enjoyable stay. The stylish interiors, which have been recently updated following colour consultancy with Farrow and Ball, give the place plenty of character. And there are lots of delightful spots where you can sit down and enjoy the splendid views.
The supremely stylish lounge offers a great space for socialising with your loved ones, whilst the equally striking dining room has space for everyone to sit and enjoy meals together. The dining room also offers lovely views of the forest outside. Dinner prep is made nice and easy thanks to the fully equipped kitchen, and if guests want to try their hand at some al fresco cooking they can venture outside and make use of the pizza oven. There's also plenty of space to socialise outside on both the decks and the patio, as well as the gardens and surrounding woodland.
The five bedrooms are all very pleasing on the eye and make use of fab furnishings and comfy mattresses, to guarantee you a great night's sleep. Four of the bedrooms are doubles, and one is a twin. There are three bathrooms, one of which has a big, comfy roll top bath tub that sits by a window allowing you to enjoy the view whilst taking a soak.
You may also be interested to know that The Chalet was one of the star locations in the worldwide smash Netflix series Sex Education.
Guests can head down to the flat garden that is perfect for kids and dogs. There's a play frame here as well as a summer house with a secret cinema and dartboard to help to keep everyone entertained.
Those who wish to venture out and explore the area will be pleased with the abundance of things to see and do nearby. The Wye Valley and the Forest of Dean are both nearby and offer a wide range of beautiful scenery to enjoy. You are also a short hop from the renowned Saracen’s Head pub, Royal Lodge Hotel, and a nice canoe centre.
