This property is a brilliantly converted and connected set of barns comprised of the Old Mill, the Hayloft, the Granary, the Old stables and the Byre. With 20 ensuite bedrooms sleeping up to 48, and several living areas, this fantastic conversion would be perfect for a big event, a team building weekend, or a lavish celebration.
A good place to gather upon arrival would be The Barns magnificent kitchen and dining area. The original stone wall has been left exposed in some areas and the high beamed ceilings combined with the large bi-folding glass doors, makes this a sunny welcoming space. The kitchen is modern, fully equipped and has a dining table that will seat 48 people splendidly. It has been stylishly decorated, providing a good first glimpse of the property's luxurious standards. Grab a drink, throw some nuts in bowls, and have a good catch up! There is a smaller second kitchen in the Stables, handy for quick breakfasts, and late night snacks.
When it's time to feast you'll have plenty of space to cook, but if you want to take it easy the hosts can arrange either a private chef to come and spoil you, or get prepared meals delivered with instructions for heating and assembling, making everything effortless and fun. All you need to do is crack open the wine.
There are ten different living areas to choose from, all with big comfy sofas, Smart TV's, sky, iPod docking and Bose speakers. Many of the spaces also have toasty log burners for chilly nights in, and with underfloor heating throughout, this vast space is always warm and cosy. There are two games rooms where you can chill or get a bit competitive, as well as a piano for anyone musically inclined.
The bedrooms are grouped together in the different areas (Hayloft etc) usually containing around four in each. You'll find luxuriously designed spaces with a mixture of super kings, kings and singles, depending on your needs, and some can be made into twins upon request. With lovely linens, soft furnishings and cool art on the walls, all the rooms have a modern high-end hotel vibe, and they all come with an ensuite. All have showers and some come with tubs as well. Spa robes, towels and slippers are included but you'll want to bring your own toiletries.
After a good nights sleep and an invigorating shower, grab yourself a coffee from the Nespresso machine and explore the outdoors. In the grounds you'll find some games, two hot tubs, and some stunning walks where you can get a good look at the heritage of the farm including the cattle and some apple orchards.
The Barns sit on the edge of the pretty rural village of Lyonshall, which is lovely to have a wander round. Nearby Kingston has shops and amenities but for more extensive shops head to a Hereford, Hay-on-Wye or nearby Ludlow which is a haven for food lovers! The hosts can organise fun activities like clay pigeon shooting, canoeing and pampering days. And they recommend using local suppliers who can deliver a range of meat, game, fish, artisan bread and wine! As an additional bonus they also offer the services of their Barn Fairies, who can slip in and out to take care of boring things like washing up!
