This beautiful barn conversion makes a wonderful countryside retreat for a family or group of friends. The barn sleeps up to 12 guests (8 adults and 4 children) and features big, open plan living spaces that combine the beautiful rustic features of the building with a modern style of decor. Spend your days exploring the Sussex countryside and coastline, before relaxing in the hot tub or in front of a roaring fire in the evenings. Luxury linen, towels and toiletries are provided alongside a welcome hamper, allowing guests to feel at home instantly.
The Barn has been designed as an upside down house, with the bright and spacious living areas on the first floor. This makes the most of the beautiful architectural features of the building, such as the exposed oak beams, high ceilings and the panoramic tree top views, creating an enjoyable space for friends and family to share. There’s a well-equipped contemporary-style kitchen with two ovens and a large central island so everyone can get stuck in and lend a hand at meal times. The island bar is a lovely spot to enjoy breakfast or your morning coffee and there’s also a dining table where you can tuck in to delicious dinners together.
There’s a relaxing living space at the other end of this big, open-plan space with a large comfy sofa and armchair to sink into at the end of a busy day exploring. This space opens out onto the modern balcony with outdoor furniture and glass railings so you can sit back and enjoy the views out over the Sussex countryside.
You’ll find four bedrooms on the ground floor, each named after animals that live in the local area. Pheasant has a luxurious king-size bed as well as an ensuite shower room. Rabbit and Stag both have direct access to the gardens. Rabbit is a twin room with the option of a third single and Stag is a double room. Duck is perfect for children with a creative triple bunk which has a smaller lower bed which can cater for a toddler. Extra sleeping space can be found on the mezzanine area which overlooks the living space and has a double sofa bed. Luxury linen, towels and toiletries are provided alongside a welcome hamper, allowing guests to feel at home instantly.
Outside, you’ll find a six-person hot tub where you can sit back and relax amongst the trees, where you will be serenaded by the vibrant local birdsong. Explore the rest of the grounds and you might stumble across the treehouse hidden away in the woods. There’s also a zip wire, a fishing lake, a tennis court and plenty of space to play cricket and football. Alternatively, you could just lie back in the hammock and relax with a good book.
There are 17 acres of grounds within the Honeybridge Estate to explore, surrounded by beautiful woodlands and farmland. Close to the South Downs National Park, there are endless opportunities to explore the countryside and coast on foot or by bicycle. There are also plenty of delightful local towns and villages to explore, such as Petworth and Arundel, and you can be at the beaches of Goring, Shoreham or Worthing in 20 minutes and reach Brighton or West Wittering within 40 minutes.

Leave a reviewWe had the most fantastic time here at the Barn. What a beautiful property and the owners have thought of everything. We had a really thoughtful welcome basket for the guests when we arrived. We spent the evening enjoying the hot tub and robes and towels are provided for each guest. The property is set in really beautiful grounds with a fanatic play room opposite the barn. We set out for a walk in the afternoon and came back to the comfy lounge and log fire. The zip wire is really great fun and the pool is AMAZING. Highly recommend and the property manager and owners are so lovely. Definitely be booking again for next year.

What can I say? This place is amazing. Every detail has been thought through to make your stay perfect. The devil is in the detail and that is what makes something perfect (and that is rare). The host Zoey is attenitve in a good way, and nothing is too much trouble. It is a famiily business and you can tell. I run a business where the detail and the finishing touches are key to our sucess and this place has it in spades. The grounds are beautiful, loads of facilities (you don't really have to leave). There is a lot of good local restaurants and everyone is friendly. This is a rare location and place - enjoy it! You can reconnect here with your family and nature. EPIC!!!!
