You should know

- Children are welcome, but the property is built one metre up (as it's directly on the sea) and the seaside deck is open with no railings, with grasses planted around.
- There is an additional cleaning fee and security deposit.

The Details
Striking and beautiful, this outstanding home on the beach in Selsey offers groups of up to eight a superb stay by the sea. This real coastal showstopper was designed by an artist, meaning the interior is as sleek and stylish as can be. From the outside, it’s a beautiful home, with lovely weathered chestnut cladding, and once you step inside, you’re afforded amazing sea views through giant windows as well as clean lines, sharp corners and a calming pastel colour palette. Throughout the home, natural fabrics and textures combine wonderfully with the owner’s collection of artwork (much of it her own).
When you arrive, gather with your loved ones in the spacious living area, where huge sofas sit perfectly placed for taking in the sea views. Light the wood-burner and stay toasty and warm as you catch up with loved ones over a glass of something delicious. Just off this main lounge area is a cosy snug that sits next to towering bookshelves loaded up with all sorts of wonderful books. Grab a novel and settle in for an afternoon read.
The home also has a fantastic, modern kitchen that's nicely equipped with all the contemporary appliances you’ll need to prepare tasty meals for your group. The kitchen also has an incredible and grand kitchen island, with a row of bar stools. This is the perfect place to sit with a drink in hand as you keep your designated chef company. Then, when dinner’s ready, gather around the spacious dining table that sits next to bi-folding doors offering the ideal spot for a meal with a view. Or, take your meal outside in the courtyard garden, where a large alfresco dining table sets the scene for social summer meals.
Speaking of the outdoor space, the peaceful garden offers a walkway that takes you right onto the pebbles, which makes it feel like you’ve got your own private stretch of beach. Wander down to the local fish shack and grab some fresh seafood to take back to the Artist’s House to cook up for dinner. Or, simply while away the afternoon swimming in the sea or wandering your way along the coast.
When eyes grow weary, head back to the house, where the four king size bedrooms all ensure you have a peaceful and comfy night’s sleep. But before bed, hop into the free-standing roll-top bathtub in the top floor bedroom that offers you the chance to enjoy a luxurious soak with a view. Some of the bedrooms also have access to a beachside deck, whilst some also have ensuite wet rooms and smart TVs.
When it comes to filling your days you can while away hours swimming or flying kites on the beach before grabbing fish’n’chips or seafood by the sea. Walk to the Lifeboat pub for seaside dining, then visit the RNLI lifeboat station. Try snorkelling with Mulberry Marine Experiences or explore cycle paths around Pagham Harbour and Medmerry. Kids will love the Selsey Seal Art Trail, and Chichester is nearby for history and shopping.
