Luxurious accommodation in the wilds of Argyll, where guests can enjoy spectacular panoramic vistas and an indulgent soak in the hot tub.
Stormhouse North is a stunning couple’s retreat in Argyll, on Scotland’s scenic West Coast. The newly built home has been expertly designed to take full advantage of the incredible surroundings and boasts panoramic views of Argyll’s coastline and islands. It is the ultimate haven for couples and solo travellers looking to relax, rejuvenate and immerse themselves in nature. To make the stay even more special, it is complete with a luxurious sunken hot tub on the terrace, where guests can enjoy an indulging soak with a view.
The home is smart and modern, yet blends seamlessly into its idyllic setting. Located around 100m away from the nearest property, it offers guests total seclusion and privacy. The interior, characterised by huge glass windows that provide sweeping vistas, is beautifully finished with wooden parquet flooring and premium European furniture. The main living space is a wonderful place to unwind, with a Classic Fendi Casa L-shape sofa perfectly positioned beside the window and a cosy log-burning stove. The contemporary German kitchen is also housed here, with state-of-the-art appliances and spacious worktops – a joy to cook in.
A door from the living area leads onto the terrace, a real highlight of the stay. Here you’ll find outdoor seating and the mosaic-tiled hydromassage hot tub with a built-in ‘lounger’, the best place to relax and soak up the surroundings. When it’s time to sleep, you can retreat to the delightful bedroom with a complete viewing window and a sumptuous super-king-size bed. And guests can start their morning the right way in the gorgeous wet room, complete with a rainfall shower and built-in Sonos speaker.
Argyll is one of the best places to spot iconic Scottish wildlife, such as the white-tailed eagle, which is regularly seen flying in front of the house. It’s also a prime destination for outdoor enthusiasts, with mountains, lochs and islands on your doorstep. You’ll be able to kayak around the coastline and Castle Stalker, ramble the nearby Munros of Beinn Sgulaird and Beinn Fionnlaidh or hire bikes and take on the many scenic trails. Tired muscles can be treated back in the hot tub back at the house.
The nearby village of Appin has a great reputation for its pubs and eateries and is an ideal base from which to venture further afield. Glencoe and its historic glen is a half-hour drive, whilst the charming town of Oban, known as the ‘Gateway to the Isles’ is just 17 miles away, where you’ll find frequent ferries to the Mull and the rest of the Inner Hebrides.
