Converted in 2015, this traditional Cotswold stone barn sits within 25 acres of farmland. The barn comfortably sleeps six guests with ample space for relaxing and socialising in style. This is the ideal spot for a quiet getaway or a trip spent walking and eating at fantastic local pubs. Guests staying here are perfectly located to explore both the Cotswolds and the marvellous, historic city of Oxford.
Quiet, modern and comfortable the barn's main living space is open plan and makes use of comfy sofas sat around a wood burning stove. Guests can sit with a glass of wine and socialise, or read one of the books up on the shelves before enjoying a movie on the TV. The living room also a sound system meaning you can put your tunes on throughout your stay. And when the weather's nice, why not head outside and enjoy a dip in the wild swimming pool. If you need more things to keep you entertained, then there are also regular yoga, pilates and mindfulness classes run in the Big Barn nearby.
Prepare meals in the fully equipped, modern kitchen that features an electric hob, oven, dishwasher and everything you’d expect from a corkscrew to tea strainers. Dinners can be enjoyed at the dining table that has space for six or, when the sun is shining, you can slide open the glass doors and dine al fresco on the patio in the garden. And on those colder months, you'll be kept nice and cosy thanks to underfloor heating. The barn is heated by an environmentally friendly ground sourced heat pump which allows for maximum temperatures of 21 degrees downstairs and 19 degrees upstairs. These can be boosted by using the wood burning stove downstairs if needed.
When it comes to bed time the master bedroom has a king size double bed and an adjoining en-suite bathroom with a fantastic double walk-in shower. There are two further double bedrooms with king size double beds, and a family bathroom with a bath and overhead shower.
When it comes to things to do, the Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty is nearby, and offers various picturesque walking and cycling route. There are also a number of quaint villages, cosy country pubs, and pretty market towns waiting to be explored. The historic, thriving city of Oxford is also nearby and is well worth a visit with plenty of things to see and do.
