The details
Castor is a perfect escape from the hustle bustle of city life, nestled in its own private field surrounded by woodland with wonderful views. It would be a lovely hideaway for a couple or a single adventurer with a dog.
Once you've parked you can make the short 250-metre walk to the cabin through the fields and settle in. On a summer day you might like to settle at the outdoor seating with a welcome drink and soak up the view and the quiet. Other than the local farmer and some sheep, you'll be utterly alone.
The cabin itself is cosy with a big king size bed decked out in crisp linens and a warm duvet. Tucked into the corner with two large windows to gaze out of, you'll feel as though you are sleeping in nature and waking to the most glorious views.
A small kitchenette provides a space to make tea and coffee in the morning and there's a small eco-fridge perfect for two. The wood burner will keep you warm and toasty throughout the night and during colder days. Help yourself to the books and board games and spend some quality time relaxing with a glass of wine at the little table inside or on the decking outside. A lovely spot from which to watch the sun set too!
After a peaceful night's rest you can enjoy an invigorating hot shower and make use of the complimentary Faith in Nature toiletries, wrap yourself in a lush towel and settle outside with your first coffee of the day.
You'll be a short 10-minute drive from Abergele, or you can walk it in around 50 minutes and enjoy the fantastic Welsh scenery. There are plenty of lovely pubs to visit including the George and Dragon which has a great menu, cocktails and a beer garden. They are very dog friendly. The Harp Inn also welcomes dogs and is very popular with the locals.
If you fancy a day at the seaside Pensarn Beach has a promenade with cosy cafes and a games arcade. Or you can mooch along to a quieter more secluded part of the beach which goes on for miles. And for a delightful treat head to Gwinllan Conwy Vineyard for a tour and a tasting!
