Brought to you in association with Trinity House, the Lizard Lighthouse is located on the Southern-most tip of mainland Britain. Seven Stones is a stunning holiday cottage set in the grounds of a working lighthouse. This traditional 3 bedroom Cornish cottage offers sea views from every angle.
With a modern, stylish and comfortable interior, Seven Stones in the perfect base from which to explore the Cornish coastline. As you watch the waves crash against the rocks, you really feel like you have escaped the daily grind for an unforgettable getaway in the West Country.
The cottage offers a large and fully fitted kitchen, complete with a cooker and hob, microwave and fridge freezer, and the traditional wooden cabinets give the kitchen a cosy yet contemporary feel. The dining room has enough space for you and your fellow guests to enjoy a laid back breakfast in the comfort of your own cottage, or an early evening supper watching the sun set across the sea. Dotted with nautical themed accessories, you can dine in style in Seven Stones.
The living room is bright and airy, with deep comfortable sofas that are just perfect for relaxing after a busy day exploring. A feature fireplace frames the room, and mid century touches add style and finesse. Snuggle down and watch a bit of TV, or gaze out of the window at the sea views beyond.
The master bedroom offers polished wood floors, retro light shades and more of those oh so wonderful, ever lasting sea views. Cool cottons with colourful touches turn this holiday cottage into truly first class accommodation.
The second twin bedroom is furnished to the same high standards as the master, and comes complete with two good sized single beds and more stunning views over the sea. Cosy yet cool, you will will enjoy the trappings of five star luxury in this beautiful abode, as this bedroom also benefits from its own ensuite bathroom.
Both bathrooms are clean, modern and well designed. Soft towels and contemporary styling will help you to relax in a hot bath after a chilly day at sea.
The third bedroom is also a twin, and is just as pretty and perfect as the two before.
Outside the property there is an enclosed courtyard garden, where you can enjoy a glass of something cool as you listen to the gulls over head. This little peace of heaven is the perfect spot to catch the Cornish rays on a sunny day.
Lizard Village is nearby and provides shops, restaurants and a friendly pub. Your neighbourly Lizard Lighthouse is a fully working lighthouse, first established in 1619. The distinctive two white towers that it is known for today were built in 1751 by private entrepreneur Thomas Fonnereau, and first lit on 22 August of that year. Trinity House gained control of the lights in 1771 and continues to look after its operation to this day. It became electrified in 1924 and then fully automated in 1998.
The site is also open to the public for lighthouse tours, so why not pop in and see your nearest neighbour up close. The Lizard Peninsular is one of the most popular destinations in the area, and is perfect for visiting places like St. Michael's Mount, St. Ives and Mousehole.
