Guests can enjoy all the excitement of water life but without the hard work that boat dwelling can sometimes entail. This unique glamping pod is nautically-themed throughout and simply, but stylishly, decorated with timber walls and floors and clean simple colour themes. Porthole windows let in bountiful light which pours down on you as you wake in one of the two bedrooms.
The first bedroom features a comfortable double bed, lovely for cuddling up in and listening to the sound of the water lapping against the pod and lulling you to sleep.
Bedroom two is ideal for children, who will be beside themselves with excitement with the prospect of sleeping afloat. It has an L-shaped bunk bed decorated with bright yellows and muted greys. Comfortable and inviting, stylish and bright.
A well-designed toilet and shower room is a lovely room to wash off the day's adventures, and underfloor heating ensures you stay warm and cosy however wet you may have got while messing around on the Broads.
The living area is small but perfectly formed, with a bowed roof and more nautically-themed furnishings, even the mugs feature waterbird designs! There is a large, comfy sofa and a television, in case the British weather lets you down or if you just fancy putting your feet up and relaxing in front of a movie.
A small kitchenette with a breakfast bar is a great space for putting together picnics and preparing light suppers and breakfasts to take outside to enjoy al fresco.
And what a spot to spend time enjoying drinks and dinners. The large outdoor decking area boasts splendid views towards Old Beccles bridge and quay, and has been designed specifically for guests to get the most of the sunrise and sunset.
The Waveney Valley area is spectacular and offers something for everyone. It is an unspoilt haven for wildlife, idyllic villages and historic market towns. In July, the boatyard hosts the Beccles River Festival, where guests can sample local produce and enjoy day boat tasters. There are some great places to eat and drink in the area. The nearby town of Bungay offers some great options, from afternoon tea at St Peter's Hall, to the excellent Castle Inn.
