- The house occupies a remote coastal position around one-and-a-half miles south of the Applecross Inn and Shore Street.
- The house sits on a sloping site with steps to the main entrance. This may make the property difficult to access for those with mobility issues.
- There is a seven-day minumum stay with Saturday as the changeover day.
- There is parking for at least two cars on the gravel driveway.
- Applecross can be reached via the famous single-track Bealach na Ba or the longer coast road via Shieldaig.

Perched in an elevated position on the spectacular Applecross peninsula, Seawinds is all about the view. Gaze across the ever-changing waters of the Inner Sound towards the Cuillins, the Isle of Skye and the Isle of Raasay as Atlantic weather rolls across the horizon. One moment you might be watching shafts of sunlight dance across the water, the next a rainbow appears after a passing shower. Come evening, settle in for colourful sunsets before stepping outside beneath wonderfully dark, star-filled skies.
Recently refurbished in a bright, contemporary style, Seawinds is a spacious four bedroom home sleeping up to six guests. At its heart is the generous open-plan living space, where large windows frame those panoramic coastal views. Light the Contura wood-burning stove on cooler evenings, gather around the family dining table for dinner or simply sink into a comfortable seat and watch the elements outside. There’s also an LED TV and Ruark internet radio when you fancy a relaxed night in.
The adjoining kitchen is well equipped for leisurely breakfasts and home-cooked suppers, with freestanding beechwood units, a central island and breakfast bar. You’ll have a Stoves cooker, Bosch fridge freezer and dishwasher, alongside a Nespresso coffee machine and other handy appliances. There’s also a lovely sun room where you can sit quietly watching the local birdlife, as well as laundry facilities for longer stays.
Upstairs, the west-facing master bedroom has a king size bed, ensuite bathroom and fabulous views across the Inner Sound. A second west-facing double bedroom enjoys similarly impressive vistas, while another bedroom has twin single beds. A family bathroom with a bath and shower completes the first-floor accommodation. Outside, the mature garden offers another peaceful spot to appreciate the wild surroundings.
Days here can be as adventurous or unhurried as you like. Wander along Applecross Bay, seek out the coral beaches, watch for seals and white-tailed sea eagles or explore local woodland trails. The award-winning Applecross Inn and Applecross Walled Garden are both around five minutes away by car. Further afield, drive the spectacular coast road towards Shieldaig and Torridon, visit pretty Plockton or head into the mountains for some of Wester Ross's finest walking.
