The Details

This wonderfully unique and cosy cottage sits a stone’s throw from the sea in the quaint village of Broadford on Scotland’s majestic Isle of Skye. Sleeping two guests, this charming cottage offers couples a romantic retreat, providing you with the chance to relax and unwind to the sights and sounds of the sea.

The interior of this lovely home has been beautifully refurbished by a local ship’s carpenter in traditional V-lining, which gives the place an abundance of character. When you arrive you can unwind in the lounge, with its cosy gas fireplace and comfy sofa. Relax here with a good book or enjoy a movie on the Bang & Olufsen TV. There’s also a piano here, should you wish to play a tune, alongside easily controlled mood lighting, giant binoculars and a tide clock.

When it comes to whipping up a romantic meal during your stay, the extensively equipped kitchen has all you need and you will also receive a generous hospitality pack on arrival. Then, dine together in the charming dining room, where an ornate table and chairs sets the scene for a romantic meal that stretches into the night. There’s also a comfy armchair here with a telescope, so you can gaze out at the wildlife at play in the water.

When night falls, head to the amazing bathroom where you’ll find a pair of roll-top his and hers baths! These really are perfect for indulgent, luxurious soaks with a loved one before bed. There’s also a large walk-in power shower, variable mood lighting, a music link from the bedroom and fluffy bathrobes and towels.

After your bath, head to bed in the wonderfully huge 7? x 7? emperor bed with sumptuous Egyptian cotton linen. This is the perfect place to enjoy a peaceful night’s sleep and you can wake up to a magnificent view over Broadford Bay.

During your stay, make sure you immerse yourself in the soothing warmth of your own private Swedish sauna while taking in breathtaking views over Broadford Bay. Paired with an outdoor bathtub offering both hot and cold water, this serene setting is ideal for unwinding after a day of exploration or simply indulging in peaceful relaxation. The panoramic bay views create a calming atmosphere that leaves guests feeling refreshed, restored, and truly connected to nature.

Broadford Bay is a stunning gateway to the natural wonders of the Isle of Skye. At low tide, the sea retreats over 100 metres, revealing rich feeding grounds for a variety of seabirds - a haven for birdwatchers and nature lovers. Keep an eye out for the occasional otter gliding across the shore, especially at dawn or dusk. From here, explore nearby coastal walks, kayak in the bay’s calm waters or head inland to hike the dramatic Red and Black Cuillin mountains. With its unspoilt beauty and abundant wildlife, Broadford Bay is the perfect base for discovering the wild magic of Skye.
