This penthouse apartment on The Terrace in St Ives enjoys fantastic views across Porthminster Beach and up the Cornish coastline. After breakfast out on the balcony, head down to the Blue Flag beach or visit some of the many art galleries and cafes of St Ives. It’s just a short walk through the town’s pretty cobbled streets to the picturesque harbour and the bustling town centre. After a busy day exploring, sit out on the balcony with a cocktail and enjoy breathtaking sunsets over the water.

The apartment feels bright and spacious with plenty of natural light flooding in through large windows. The kitchen and bathrooms have recently been renovated and the whole space has been furnished in cool blues with white and natural wood accents creating a relaxed feel. The colour scheme complements that spectacular view, best enjoyed from the living area or the balcony, with the famous turquoise water around St Ives. The apartment is high enough on the second floor to offer views stretching right across St Ives Bay from Porthminster Beach to Godrevy Lighthouse and then miles on up the coast.

The well-equipped kitchen has direct access onto the balcony, convenient for enjoying your meals alfresco. On chillier days, you’ll still be able to enjoy the scenery while you eat with the dining table set in front of a large window in the open plan living and dining space. In the evenings, put your feet up on one of the comfy sofas in front of the TV or enjoy a bit of quiet time in the snug with a book. There’s plenty to do in St Ives itself and you’ll be able to walk to several sandy beaches nearby. The Blue Flag beaches such as Porthminster are great for swimming and there are several surf schools in the area. St Ives is famous for its many art galleries and along with Tate St Ives, the Barbara Hepworth Museum and Sculpture Garden and the Penwith Gallery are well worth a visit. For some more spectacular scenery, you can head in either direction along the South West Coastal Path. If you go north and out Godrevy Point, you’ll be rewarded with some stunning views back across St Ives Bay.
