Located on a tranquil Northumberland farm, Peweet is a former Showman’s Caravan, now lovingly renovated and available as a unique self-catering space. Capable of comfortably accommodating up to four adults and two children, Peweet is the ultimate holiday destination for families looking spend time in rural Northumberland.
Painted in a regal gunmetal blue, Peweet is an iconic design classic, now permanently parked on a picturesque corner of the farm, facing sheep pastures and lightly wooded agricultural land. Enclosed by a timber fence on one side and a traditional stone wall on the other, this refurbished caravan is ideal for families with young children, with a safe contained outside area.
Inside the caravan itself, Peweet is deceptively spacious and benefits from high ceilings and quirky tinyhome-style design features to maximise the available living space. The main living area is a combined kitchen and dining room, with a large kitchen table, perfect for family meals, working from home, or gathering around a jigsaw puzzle or board game. The newly fitted kitchen has everything you need to whip up hearty meals for half a dozen hungry glampers, with a full size oven and hob, as well as a full scale fridge and freezer, a kettle, toaster and microwave. There is plenty of surface space for kitchen prep, and well stocked fitted cabinets in this slick and contemporary space, finished in pink and dove grey. Off this room, the two bedrooms are set up as a king size room and a second bedroom with twin singles. A child-sized sofa bed can be opened out in the main room. The caravan even comes with its own dishwasher and washing machine for added convenience.
The entire caravan is wired, with numerous outlets to power your gadgets and devices, and the bathroom is fully plumbed with high-pressure hot water, ensuring a glamping experience without compromise. A flatscreen television in the main living space offers a rainy day alternative to evenings spent reading, playing games together, or simply sitting around and chatting, while in the warmer months there really is nothing like sitting around the firepit with a bottle of wine, watching the sun set over the fields after a long day spent exploring and a hearty family meal.
Peweet is just a fifteen minute drive from the undulating Northumberland coastline, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Dotted along the shore are truly idyllic villages, with Bamburgh Castle a must-see destination. You're also conveniently close to the Potted Lobster, a wonderful seafood restaurant. Beadnell is a fantastic coastal spot for veterans and newcomers alike to experience coasteering and kayaking, while Seahouses offers stretches of stunning beach, incredible fish and chips, and a historic port. For a charming inland town, make the short journey to Alnwick, and be sure to check out Barter Books.
