Set on six acres in the beautiful Somerset countryside with views across the Somerset Levels to Glastonbury Tor, Owl's Roost shepherd’s hut sits adjacent to an 1890s farmhouse and barn that have been sympathetically renovated. This quirky shepherd’s hut is uniquely designed and features work by local artists and thoughtful touches to provide an unforgettable stay.
Owl's Roost has been designed with true luxury in mind. Thanks to the welcoming woodburning stove, you can enjoy intimate evenings in cosy comfort. Nothing has been overlooked to create a fabulous space for enjoying some time away from it all. A stunning oak table where you can enjoy delicious meals hides a concealed fold-away double bed where you can snuggle in sumptuous bedding while watching the stars through the curved window overhead and experiencing the beauty of the natural world.
Full bathroom facilities mean no more late-night trips to a communal block. Instead, you’ll have the luxury of an electric shower, toilet, wash basin, heated towel rail and fluffy towels.
The well-designed kitchen features an electric hob, fridge, boiling tap and everything you’ll need to whip up hearty, warming meals. You’ll even get a delicious breakfast hamper included for your first morning which will include local eggs, sausages, bacon, homemade bread and fresh orange juice. Not a meat eater? Homemade granola and fresh milk can be provided too.
Outside you’ll find a comfy seating area with a BBQ, pizza oven, and a table and chairs for those alfresco evenings, and if you fancy a soak whilst taking in the stunning views, then you're in luck. A Naked Flames luv tub is situated adjacent to the shepherd's hut and makes the most of the scenery out over the Somerset levels to Glastonbury Tor and beyond. Enjoy the romance of starting the fire and watching the magic happen as it heats up to temperature. After time spent washing away the stresses of daily life, you can brave the cold outdoor shower before wrapping up in a robe in front of the fire.
The Quantock Hills region is the oldest Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in England and the beautiful hills are definitely worth a visit. Ride through the breathtaking natural surroundings by bike, stopping along the way at picture-perfect villages where you can rest, eat and drink. The historic market town of Bridgwater is nearby and it’s only a short trip to the coast if you fancy a day at the seaside.
