Hidden among rolling hills and ancient woodland, Orcop Treetops is a beautifully crafted escape where contemporary Scandi design meets the restorative power of nature. Hand-built by the owner alongside a local carpenter, these two bespoke cabins feel wonderfully considered and deeply connected to their surroundings. Expansive glass frontages frame far-reaching views across valleys, hills and big skies, while calm, minimalist interiors make it effortless to slow down and switch off.
The two cabins, Fifinella Retreat and Gainsborough Retreat, each offer their own distinct setting and outlook. Fifinella is tucked beneath ancient oaks with magical sunset views towards the Bannau Brycheiniog National Park, creating a woodland hideaway that feels cocooned and peaceful. Gainsborough sits within open pastureland, soaking up spectacular sunrises and sweeping views towards the Malvern Hills, with a lighter, more expansive feel.
Inside, both cabins are designed for relaxed, easy living. Open plan living, dining and kitchen spaces are flooded with natural light, making mornings feel bright and unhurried and evenings cosy and calm. Each retreat features a king size bed, dressed for deep, comfortable sleep, along with a Japanese-style tatami cinema den. This clever, tucked-away space is perfect for movie nights, quiet reading or accommodating children on futon mattresses, making both cabins ideal for couples or small families.
The kitchens are fully equipped for everything from slow breakfasts to laid-back suppers, while the bathrooms offer a touch of luxury with walk-in rainfall showers and modern fittings. Underfloor heating and wood burners keep things toasty year-round, adding to that lovely sense of comfort and retreat.
Outside is where Orcop Treetops really comes into its own. Each cabin has its own private wood-fired hot tub, ready and waiting on arrival, inviting long, steamy soaks under the stars. Covered outdoor cooking and dining areas make alfresco meals easy in any weather, whether you’re firing up the BBQ, sliding pizzas into the Ooni oven or lingering over a glass of wine as the light fades. Hammocks, firepits and quiet corners complete the picture, offering space to unwind and reconnect.
When you’re ready to explore, there are walks straight from the doorstep and an easy stroll to the local pub. Venture a little further to discover the beautiful landscapes of Herefordshire, the drama of the Bannau Brycheiniog National Park or the gentle hills and market towns that make this part of the country so special.
