Located in the tranquil West Sussex countryside, this charming yurt offers couples or groups of four a fabulous glamping retreat. Uniquely designed and made using recycled materials, old pallets and a local fallen beach tree, the yurt is spacious and transports you and your loved ones to a world of comfort and calm.
When you arrive, you’ll love the location, with the yurt being tucked away in a peaceful corner of a farm in the serene heart of the South Downs National Park. Once you've dropped your bags off you’ll want to get comfy on the raised deck where deck chairs overlook the surrounding fields and rolling hills beyond. Get comfy here with a good book and a nice drink or fire up the BBQ and grill up some delicious local produce.
Also outside, you’ll find the private hot tub, which adds a real touch of luxury to your stay. Hop in and relax weary muscles after a day spent exploring the surrounding hills and valleys.
When you step inside, the yurt is spacious and grand, with a high ceiling, skylight window and a cosy rug on the floor. There’s a plush king size bed against the round wall, which guarantees a peaceful night’s sleep, and two single fold-out beds offer sleeping space for two additional guests. Thanks to the location you can fall asleep to the peaceful sound of owls hooting and wake to the chirping of birds. The wood-burning fireplace keeps things warm and toasty whatever the weather outside, whilst electric lighting, sockets and charging points ensure you’re as comfy as can be.
When tummies rumble, you’ve got the aforementioned BBQ, however, there’s also a quaint kitchenette with a gas stove, a fridge, a toaster and a kettle for that all-important first cuppa of the day. You and your loved ones will also have exclusive access to a separate shower and compost toilet.
Even though it feels like you're deep in the middle of nowhere, you're actually just a 15-minute walk from the charming village of Steyning. This picturesque spot is full of character and offers a warm welcome with its selection of traditional pubs.
If you wish to venture further and explore the wider area, there’s lots to see and do nearby. The South Downs National Park offers scenic walks, cycling trails and stunning countryside views. Visit historic Lewes, a charming market town with a Norman castle and independent shops. Nature lovers can explore the Seven Sisters cliffs or enjoy birdwatching at Cuckmere Haven. For a livelier experience, spend a day in Brighton - relax on the beach, explore the vibrant Lanes or visit the Royal Pavilion. Whether you seek adventure or relaxation, the South Downs has something for everyone.
