The detail

In a visually dramatic valley in the heart of the Italian Dolomite mountains, Odles Lodge is an extraordinary timber chalet combining ancient building techniques and materials with a twenty first century style. With clear skies reaching up to bright overhead stars, green and rocky mountains in every direction, and a diverse array of amenities and luxuries within your very own chalet, Odles Lodge is an unbeatable accommodation option for anybody looking for a decadent and remote break in one of Europe’s finest mountain ranges.

In the South Tyrol region of North Eastern Italy, Odles Lodge is made up of four individual lodge suites, capable of accommodating between two and eight people. All sharing in the overarching aesthetic of sharp, clean lines, stone pine walls, and the use of light and glass, each of the four units has its own distinct stylistic voice.

Lodge Suite I is an open plan living and sleeping space perfect for a couple, with a comprehensive kitchen, WLAN and satellite equipped television, and a delightful terrace boasting views of the surrounding Dolomites. Lodge Suite II is a little larger, capable of accommodating two couples or a small family between its two discreet sleeping areas. It offers all of the same amenities as I, with the additional benefit of a traditional South Tyrolean tiled stove.

Lodge Suite III is more spacious still, capable of hosting a fifth sleeper on a single bed in one of the two sleeping areas. It also offers a substantial wooden terrace, perfect for enjoying your morning coffee in the early sun. Lodge Suite IV is particularly decadent, arranged over two floors and including an upstairs sleeping area which faces a full height glass window with staggering views over the mountains. Spacious living quarters are downstairs, where a sofa-bed can also be found in a sleeping area. As well as the thorough kitchen and bathroom amenities which are typical of the lodges, Lodge Suite IV offers not one but three terraces.
