Silence, peace and pure unadulterated serenity are all guaranteed at Nina Trulli Resort. Once a countryside monastery that was converted into a working farm and vineyard, this resort is now a truly luxurious holiday destination for people looking to escape to the peace, tranquility and verdant beauty of the Trulli Coast in Italy. Situated a mere 5km from the sea, and surrounded by incredible countryside, this holiday retreat is the perfect place to relax and unwind, allowing you to stay in a unique ‘trullo’ - a traditional Apulian dry stone hut with a conical roof. From the outside they look rustic and quaint. Step inside, however, and you are presented with a romantic living space that is at the height of comfort. Guests are able to sleep in these wonderfully renovated and incredibly unique structures that are all gathered together like a small quaint village. Spacious, bright and comfortable, each suite, which sits inside its own trulli, still holds onto all of its old world charm.
The suites, which vary in size, all make the most of recycled wooden furniture made by talented local craftsmen; beautiful natural fabrics; local ceramics; and other fabulous trinkets that have been discovered in the old markets of the surrounding villages and towns. They are also equipped with incredibly comfortable beds, private bathrooms, heating, satellite TV, complimentary toiletries and you also have your own patio where you can sit and enjoy the fresh air in private. People wanting to indulge further can treat themselves to spa treatments or go for an afternoon dip in the pool as the sun shines down from up high. After a comfy night’s sleep guests are treated to a scrumptious breakfast of fresh fruits and local produce, the perfect start to any day.
After breakfast there are plenty of things to see and do in the area. You may wish to simply stroll among the vineyards and farmland that surrounds you, however, if you decide to venture further afield then you will be presented with some of Italy’s most gorgeous and picturesque countryside as well as some stunning coastlines. The inspiring coastal city of Monopoli is also only 13km away and simply must be visited during your stay. Arrive back at Nina Trulli Resort and do some wine tasting before heading to The Restaurant Nina 1730, which offers mouthwatering home cooked delights that all make the most of the vast array of local produce on offer. You will never forget the authentic and fresh flavours of the Puglia countryside. Be sure to wash it all down with some amazing wines that have been made using local grapes.
