You should know
- Meadow Sweet sleeps two guests in one double bed and welcomes one pet for an additional charge of £35 per week or part thereof.
- The owners live next door and have a friendly dog, while chickens roam within the grounds of the adjacent house. Guests should keep the gates closed and dogs away from these areas.
- The wood fired hot tub can be used between 9am and 10pm only, with hot tub towels provided.
- Quiet hours are between 10pm and 9am. Outdoor speakers and radios are not permitted and guests are asked to keep outdoor noise to a minimum after 10pm.
- The property is reached along a quiet, narrow country lane used by farm vehicles, horse riders and cyclists, so you may encounter the occasional tractor.
- The property uses a septic tank, so guests should only flush the toilet paper provided and use the septic-safe toiletries and hand wash supplied.
- Private parking is available for up to two cars and WiFi, bed linen and towels are provided.

Spend lazy afternoons stretched out in the hammock, light the fire pit as evening draws in and sink into the wood fired hot tub beneath the open sky.
Inside, Meadow Sweet is every bit as inviting. A comfy double bed awaits when it’s time to turn in, while a cute two-seater sofa and wood burner create a wonderfully cosy spot for evenings indoors. The kitchenette may be compact but it comes nicely equipped with a hob, microwave, air fryer, fridge, toaster, kettle and Nespresso coffee machine, so you can rustle up breakfast before heading out or settle in for a quiet supper for two. There’s also a beautifully finished bathroom with a shower, toilet, basin and heated towel rail.
Step outside and you have your own little slice of the Sussex countryside to enjoy. The landscaped gardens sit amongst meadows, trees and a pond, with plenty of outdoor furniture for finding your favourite sunny spot. Fire up the wood fired hot tub for a long soak, rinse off beneath the outdoor shower or gather around the fire pit as darkness settles over the valley. On warm summer days, the scent of meadowsweet drifts across the Weald, providing a rather lovely reminder of how this peaceful retreat got its name.
