A grand, period townhouse in a peaceful location at the heart of London. The ideal haven to relax in after a busy day in the capital.
Please note that the minimum stay for this property is 3 nights
Walking up the steps to this grand, double-fronted townhouse, you’ll feel like you’ve stepped back in time. Radiating charm and oozing history, this delightful property will whisk you back to the Georgian era. You’ll find it hard to believe that this quiet location is only a stone’s throw from the buzz of central London and everything the city has to offer.
Behind the elegant front door, you’ll discover a lovingly restored, calming oasis, exquisitely mixing period features with modern day living. Sleeping four people in two bedrooms, the accommodation is perfect for a family or two couples.
The raised ground floor living room has high ceilings, a sparkling chandelier and a decorative marble fireplace. Here you’ll be able to relax on the opulent sofas while natural light pours in through the original sash windows.
On the lower ground floor, the modern, gleamingly white kitchen is packed full of state-of-the-art appliances, including a dishwasher and coffee maker. You’ll also find all the utensils you’ll need to whip up a feast. Leading from the kitchen, the original ‘coal hole’ – which would have once allowed the easy delivery of sacks of coal to the house – will take you to a washing machine and small freezer.
Next door to the kitchen is the welcoming dining room with a large dining table, bench and chairs. And if you’re not on cooking duty, you can cosy up on the sofa, in front of the fully-working wood burning stove, while you wait for dinner to be served!
On the first floor you’ll find an inviting twin bedroom with large sash windows. The entire second floor is devoted to the master bedroom, which is bathed in natural light thanks to its front and rear windows. This peaceful hideaway has a king size bed, decorative fireplace and en-suite shower room.
This delightful property also features a luxurious drench shower, beautiful cast iron radiators and contemporary artwork. And if you’re visiting with a young family, everything you need – including a cot, travel cot, highchair and children’s books and toys – are on hand to make your stay as easy as possible.
Situated in zone 1, London Georgian Firehouse couldn’t be any more central. Countless London landmarks and tourist attractions, including the Tate Modern, Covent Garden and Trafalgar Square, are literally on your doorstep. And if you need a break from exploring by foot, nearby tube stations and riverboat services will make getting around the big smoke effortless.
Minimum 3 night stay | Price per night from £695.
