Admire this proud windmill that sits with views out across the corn fields and up to the rolling green hills that surround you. Inside you’ll find luxury in abundance, with plenty of space and of course each room circular or parts of a circle, reaching up over five floors. At the very top is a cosy snug, for your group to gather together in the evening, and at the bottom a spacious kitchen, that comes fully equipped and includes a five-ring gas range cooker, microwave, American fridge/freezer, two dishwashers, so ideal for cooking and clearing up for a big group. There’s also a dining table with space for twelve to sit and enjoy eating together and underfloor heating throughout.
There are six bedrooms, four en-suite shower rooms and one family bathroom over three floors. You’ll find each room has been tastefully decorated in neutral tones, and includes a TV, DVD player and Freeview. There’s a spacious living room with doors that open out onto the balcony, so you can step outside and appreciate life lived on the windmill, surely a perfect spot for evening drinks before dinner. The living room also includes an additional TV with a full satellite package. Outside is an enclosed garden, with a BBQ and furniture provided for you to sit out and enjoy sunny days together.
Usk is conveniently located in the centre of Monmouthshire and the town itself has a castle, a rural life museum, the sessions house, a collection of old houses, a variety of restaurants, shops, public houses, hotels and other amenities associated with a vibrant rural town. Usk is also famous for its fishing and successes in the Wales in Bloom and Britain in Bloom competitions. Fly Fishing is available on the nearby River Usk. You’ll find this the ideal location for an outdoor break in Monmouthshire, within a close proximity of activities including cycling, rope climbing, pony trekking, hang gliding, canal boat hire, fishing and walking. There are also numerous award-winning restaurants nearby, with the Welsh capital city of Cardiff approximately 25 miles south of Usk offering attractions such as the Millennium Stadium and the Millennium Centre in Cardiff Bay. Tintern Abbey , which is situated in the Wye Valley, is approximately a 25 minute drive away together with many more castles and museums such as the Big Pit Mining Museum at Blaenavon, Nearby golf courses include Alice Springs (approximately a five-minute drive away), Greenmeadow and Celtic Manor. For the horse racing enthusiasts, locally we have Chepstow and of course a trip to this part of the world offers you a chance to explore the Brecon Beacons National Park, the Blorenge, Sugar Loaf, and Skirrid Fawr Mountains.
