Perched above the sparkling waters of Loch Ewe in the Scottish Highlands, this incredible, one-of-a-kind retreat offers panoramic views that stretch across the rugged landscape of Wester Ross. Lewie's Croft is an architect-designed stay with beautiful dry-stone wall exteriors and a turf roof that allow the home to blend nicely into the landscape.
When you step inside, you’ll love the fantastic interior that sets the scene for a peaceful break with friends and family. The floors are laid with oak and flagstone of the highest quality, and huge windows perfectly frame the stunning loch views. Other touches create a sense of style and grandeur, like the sweeping curved staircase and the artisanal light fittings.
Gather with your loved ones in the fabulous lounge area, where deluxe, oversized sofas sit around an open fireplace. This is a great spot to unwind in peace, with a glass of something delicious as you gaze at the rugged beauty outside. The lounge space also features a wall-mounted TV for movie nights and some comfy armchairs where you can sit back with a good book.
When the group grows hungry, head to the sleek, beautifully-designed kitchen that flows effortlessly into the dining space. Take in views of the loch as you whip up a feast making use of the abundant modern appliances and amenities. There’s also a beautiful kitchen island, that makes meal prep a breeze, and a giant dining table that sets the scene for big hearty breakfasts and grand celebratory meals.
Other fab hang-out spots include the cosy TV room that is ideal for box set marathons and a private bar where you can enjoy a drink with your loved ones in style. And, if you step outside, you’ll love the enclosed garden where you can sit and enjoy an evening tipple as the sun begins to set. The sun-trap patio is perfect for alfresco dining and wildlife-spotting, so keep your eyes peeled for red deer, sea birds and maybe even a passing otter.
If you fancy a rest, head to your own private sauna, where you can turn up the heat and relax in pure luxury. And, back inside, you can also pop up to the mezzanine space, which is a lovely spot for a bit of peace and quiet, making it ideal for a bit of yoga or meditation.
When night falls, Lewie’s Croft offers two beautifully designed bedrooms for a restful night’s sleep. The master suite features a super-king bed positioned to make the most of the breathtaking loch views, with direct access to a private patio - perfect for a peaceful morning coffee. This luxurious space also includes a sleek ensuite shower room with its own loch-facing window, a walk-in power shower and a stylish dressing area with a spacious wardrobe and mirrored table. Upstairs, the second bedroom is equally inviting, with a king size bed, sweeping views and its own ensuite with a walk-in power shower, sink and WC.
This unspoilt scenery that surrounds you offers up a haven for nature lovers, adventurers and those simply seeking peace and beauty. Head out with Hebridean Whale Cruises to encounter whales, otters, porpoises and seabirds or launch your own boat at nearby Cove Harbour. You can also try your luck fishing in local lochs and along the coast.
If you fancy staying on dry land, there are lots of hiking and cycling routes straight from your doorstep, with trails ranging from gentle strolls to the historic Memorial Trail. Explore hidden beaches, visit the award-winning Gairloch Museum, discover Inverewe Gardens and don’t miss the chance to drive part of the NC500.
