Step into the timeless beauty of Laundry Cottage, a lovingly restored hideaway on the stunning Llanfendigaid Estate in southern Eryri (Snowdonia). Tucked between the mountains and the sea, this gorgeous Welsh retreat is the perfect base for romantic getaways, small families or anyone looking to experience the unique charm of a traditional cottage with modern comforts. With access to a luxury indoor heated swimming pool, woodland trails and the Welsh Coastal Path just a short stroll away, you’ll be in holiday heaven from the moment you arrive.
The cottage brims with character. Original exposed stone walls, reclaimed timber beams and thoughtful touches bring warmth and personality to the interiors. The ground floor is home to a cosy lounge with a wood-burning stove, a large sofa, a footrest to curl up on and a TV with streaming services for easy evenings in. For those who love cooking, the kitchen is both stylish and functional, featuring a Welsh slate sink set on vintage wood furniture, an Esse electric range cooker and a standout Smeg American-style fridge freezer.
Upstairs on the mezzanine, you’ll find a peaceful super-king bed with crisp white linens and ultra-soft pillows – the kind of bed that makes lie-ins irresistible. This can also be split into two singles on request. On the ground floor, a chic bathroom awaits, complete with pretty pink tiles, a walk-in shower and eco-friendly toiletries. For younger guests, there’s a double sofa bed, making this a great little retreat for a couple with a child.
Laundry Cottage blends rustic charm with stylish detail at every turn. You’ll also enjoy modern comforts like ultra-fast broadband, a washing machine and even renewable energy heating. Outside, there’s plenty to explore: from table tennis and woodland adventures to a hidden bench with unbeatable views of the coast. And don’t forget – one very well-behaved dog is welcome to join you.
When it comes to location, the estate really does have it all. Hike the dramatic trails of Eryri National Park, wander the coastal path or stroll to the beach for fresh sea air. Historic towns, pretty harbours and local pubs serving hearty Welsh fare are all nearby, making this the ideal escape for lovers of countryside and coast alike.
